DD Tournament Poker 1.0 through 1.2
Locating Windows Log and Save Files

If you are having a problem running DD Tournament Poker, it is helpful to send us any log and save files.

NOTE: These instructions are only for DD Tournament Poker 1.0 through 1.2. What is my version?
If you are running 1.0 or 1.1, we recommend that you upgrade to 1.2 first. Instructions for finding log files for 1.0 and 1.1 are here.

To locate your log and save files, follow the steps below.

Start Windows Explorer (part 1) - Choose Run... in Start Menu

Start Windows Explorer (part 2) - Type explorer and click OK

Reporting DD Poker bugs/problems (Windows XP / 2000 / 2003)
(See Windows 98 / Me below)

If your are experiencing any problem with DD Tournament Poker or think you have discovered a bug, the problem may be recorded in log files that are created by the game. To find those files, Navigate to your DD Poker data folder. That location is found as follows (see picture below):

1. My Computer
2. C: (Hard Disk or Local Disk)
3. Document and Settings
4. [your name] (look for a folder with your name or your user id)
5. .dd-poker

Log Files - Log files generated by DD Poker are found in the log sub-folder (poker.log).

Save Files - Save files are found in the save sub-folder. They are named similar to save.000000.ddpokersave. The file with the most recent Date Modified is the last one you saved. If you are reporting a bug, it is helpful to save the tournament at that point and send us the save file.

Custom tournaments that you create are found in the tournaments sub-folder. Player profiles are found in the profiles sub-folder. Deck images are found in the decks sub-folder.

Reporting DD Poker crashes - If your program unexpectedly disappears, quits or crashes, the problem may be recorded in log files that are created by Java. To find those files, Navigate to the DD Poker installation folder. The default location is found as follows (see picture below):

1. My Computer
2. C: (Hard Disk or Local Disk)
3. Program Files
4. ddpoker

Note: If you installed in a location other than the default, navigate to the ddpoker folder in the location you used.

Java Log Files - Java log files are found in the log sub-folder (err.txt and out.txt). In addition, you may see a file named similar to hs_err_pid0000.log. If you are reporting a crash problem, we will need all of these files.

Hint: If you don't see the file extensions like shown above (for example, .html, .exe, .dll, etc.), then you need to change your folder options as follows:

a) Choose Tools -> Folder Options...

b) Select View tab

c) Uncheck the box next to "Hide extensions for known file types"

d) Click OK
